The year 2020 was hard on a lot of people. I lost my job due to a lay off near the start of 2020 and was curious what other Americans did throughout the year to make a living. Turns out selling goods was one of the most done activities.

Among people who sold goods, 72 percent sold things they previously owned for their own use, like a pair of sneakers or golf clubs. About 22 percent sold items they bought with an intent to resell at a profit and 18 percent made or repurposed items for sale. The smallest portion sold products on behalf of a company. Only 16% of respondents did a type of service activity like walk dogs or lawn care. This was thought to be low due to Covid-19.
Makes you realize there is alot of opportunities to make gig income the market isn’t fully servicing.
